Inside our Doncaster counselling room: a one-minute video tour
Walk through the counselling room at 450 Doncaster Road before your first session: the sofa, plants and soft light, the kettle, and Elena's chair across from you.
Why we made a video tour
Walking into a counselling room for the first time can feel like a big step. Not knowing what the space looks like, where to sit or what happens first can add to the nerves. A short video helps you picture it in advance, so on the day you can simply arrive and settle in.
What you'll see in the room
- The sofa: where couples sit. Sit close, or keep a little space; whatever feels right.
- Something green: plants and soft light to make the room feel calm rather than clinical.
- The kettle: tea before we begin, if you'd like one.
- Elena's chair: across from you, so you can both talk and be heard.
The room is private and the door stays closed during sessions. There's no rush: the first few minutes are simply about getting comfortable.
What happens when you arrive
You'll be welcomed into the room, offered a cup of tea or water, and invited to sit wherever feels comfortable. The first session is a conversation about what brings you in and what you'd like to change. Read more about what happens in your first couples counselling session, or your first session.
