Not everyone comes to counselling in crisis. Some couples want to strengthen a relationship that is basically good, prepare for marriage or a baby, or think through a big decision together. Others are separating and want to do it with care, especially when children are involved.

Wherever you are, relationship counselling gives you a calm space to understand what you each want and agree on practical next steps.

Common questions

What is the difference between a relationship counsellor and a psychologist?

Counsellors focus on talking therapy for relationship and life difficulties and you don't need a referral. Psychologists are registered with AHPRA and their sessions can attract Medicare rebates with a mental health care plan.

Can counselling help if we are separating?

Yes. Counselling can help you separate respectfully, communicate about children and practical arrangements, and look after yourselves through the change.

Which suburbs do clients come from?

Clients come from across Melbourne's east and north-east, including Doncaster, Templestowe, Bulleen, Balwyn, Kew, Box Hill, Donvale and Warrandyte, and online from anywhere in Australia.
